Disney World!

The next day, we got up and headed for the Magic Kingdom. One of the most special things about this trip for me was that not only was it the first time my kids had ever been to Disney, it was the first time Jason or his dad had ever been as well. And it was certainly magic.

We started out in Tomorrow Land, but spent most of that day in Fantasy Land. The kids were so brave and rode every ride they were tall enough to (and a few that Kyran just squeaked by). Several of the rides were 40 inches, so I bought some tall shoes for Kyran and he was able to ride them all. At his 5-year-old check up a month later, he was 39 inches tall. Whew!

Here are some pictures from Day 1!

Getting ready to leave for Disney World (but they don't know it yet)!

We could see Cinderella's castle from the ferry and that's how they knew!

First view of Mickey, Minnie and the princesses!

Mary Poppins!

We loved having Granddad and Mary Joyce with us!

Our first ride!

The People Mover

 Riding on Dumbo!

White Rabbit!

And the Mad Hatter's tea cups. (Jason and Tom don't like spinning rides, and with me being pregnant, I didn't want to risk it, so Mary Joyce braved all of these!)

Looking adorable on Prince Charming's carousel!

Getting ready to meet their first princess - Ariel!

Not sure who these folks were, but they wanted a picture with them!

Heading into Belle's house, for probably our favorite event of both days at Disney!

In Belle's house

Jason was picked to be a part of the show!

Only those who participate usually get to meet Belle, but since there were so few children in our group, they let Kyran and Karyssa go to. Since Karyssa was dressed as Belle that day, she got some extra attention, including a spin, and learning how to pose! When Belle first saw Karyssa during the show, her eyes lit up, and when Karyssa came up to her afterwards, she said, "I was hoping you'd come see me!"

When Kyran met Belle, it was a different story. Karyssa told her he was her twin brother, but when she bent down to hug him, she got more than she bargained for! She told him he was just like Gaston, already chasing after girls!

Meeting Aurora!

You can tell Kyran is thinking of planting one on Aurora too! Karyssa is just in heaven!

And Cinderella!

There wasn't a ride they were tall enough to get on that they wouldn't ride and didn't love. They rode Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and much much more! We got there shortly after the park opened and left right when it closed. They were worn out, but so well-behaved all day!

By the end of the day, Jason and Granddad were already talking about wanting to come back in a year or two! Definite Disney fans!
