Zoo!

We have an amazing zoo here in town. I remember it being amazing as a kid, and it's even more amazing now! Just this spring, they opened two new exhibits that were very exciting. The first is a new sea lion and seal exhibit. This was one of my favorites as a kid, but they went away for a while. Now they are back, with a fancy new exhibit based on Pier 39 in San Francisco (another favorite!), and with a huge underwater viewing area. The kids love it!

The second time we went was with my friend Sara and her twins, Lane and Rowan. Gemma got up close and personal with a gorilla, but when it turned around, she wanted nothing to do with it!

The other area is a huge kids water/play area. The only day we went there, within five minutes, Kyran and Rowen bumped into each other and Rowan got a huge black eye. They were all exhausted by then anyway, so we decided to head home. It really is a pretty amazing area, though, and I can't wait to take the kids back soon!
