Stop #1

We took a 10-day trip earlier this month, visiting family in North Carolina, New York City and Upstate New York, and attending my cousin's wedding in New Hampshire. All in a car. All with two three-year-olds. No, we aren't brave. Yes, we may have the most well-behaved kids in the world.

We left on a Friday night and headed up to Jason's dad's house, which is about a 3-hour drive. The next morning, we got up and met "Aunt" Pilly and her parents (who are in town for a few months from Bogota, Colombia) for brunch. We just love getting to visit with all three of them!

After brunch, Jason took the kids back to Granddad's house and Pilly and I went to get manicures and pedicures!

That afternoon, we spent some time with Granddad and Mary Joyce and then went to dinner with Mary Joyce's parents, to celebrate her birthday.

The next morning we visited their church with them. Mary Joyce has attended this church all of her life (I believe) and we were instantly welcomed. The kids barely even said goodbye to us when we dropped them off in the nursery.

After church, we spent a relaxing day at the house. Kyran also began what I can now confidently refer to as the "final stages of potty training"!

The kids loved being there and spending time with them. They even got to see some pictures of their daddy as a little boy. Both of them looked at this picture and said it was Kyran!

Monday morning, we packed up the car and headed north for NYC!
