Halloween

Boy, did we have a full house for Halloween this year!

Our Halloween tradition began five years ago shortly after we first moved into our house. Marley was 2 1/2 and Kahlan was five months old.

That first year, it was Jason, my parents, Ben, Daphnee, the girls and me. Eight people. The past couple of years we've had 13. This year we had 18!

From left to right: Patrick, Nancy, me, Kyran, Alison, Autumn, Kahlan, Jason, Karyssa, Leo, Grandmommy, Marley, Ben (Missing are Grandfather, Rachel, David, Riley and Daphnee)

The kids were all decked out in adorable costumes...

Skin as white as snow, hair as black as night...

Leo the Shark

Kyran with a pumpkin head!

Nancy, Alison and Riley

Kahlan, aka Rapunzel

Marley was Frankie Stein

Autumn wanted cookies!

Maybe Leo is afraid of sharks?

The space station!

Pirate ship!

Lots of surprises this year!

Fire the cannon!

Pretty funny angle of Kyran, but boy does Daddy love Halloween!

Our family!

And I even broke in my blond wig that I bought for our Murder Mystery party (more on that later).

The kids had lots of fun and got lots of candy. Karyssa was much better about masked people this year, but still didn't want to get close to our friendly neighborhood witch.

Here are a couple of my favorites from earlier that day:

The day before Halloween this year we went with my mother of twins club to a local assisted living facility for a Halloween "parade". Once my kids realized there weren't going to be any floats or marching bands, they were very happy to meet the ladies and get candy!

Isabella got to join us too!
