Half-Birthday Party

This year, for the first time, we had the kids' half-birthday party somewhere and I didn't have to do any planning except for buying a cake. In the past, I've done pretty elaborate parties with scavenger hunts and lots of planning. Last year, having just had a baby, we decided to do a low-key party in the park.

This year, the kids wanted a bowling party, so that's what we did. It was nice and air-conditioned and they took care of the food, paper products, cleaning and pretty much everything else. We did give each of the kids some candy, along with the little gift bag from the bowling alley. It was a smaller group, since many of their friends were sick or out of town, but they had a blast! We even got to bowl under black lights so everyone was glowing! (It didn't make for great pictures, unfortunately.)

Twin scores!
