Mother's Day, Fireflies, and Festival!

Yes, yes, I know it's halfway through June and I'm just now blogging about some May events. These kids (and their camps, parties, etc.) keep me very busy!

Mother's Day was nice and relaxing this year. After church, we met my mom and Ben at a restaurant where mom's eat FREE on Mother's Day! When lunch was over, we came home and snapped a few pictures before having a nice afternoon of doing nothing.

Jason was even able to surprise me this year with a gift certificate for a family photo session with our favorite photographer! (Hoping to have those in the next week or so!)

The next weekend, we had a very busy Saturday. After Jason volunteered with our church's Adopt-a-Highway program, we headed to a local festival, where Gemma had two firsts:

First pony ride

First amusement park ride

She wasn't too sure about the pony, but loved the helicopter! Kyran and Karyssa got to ride a few more rides, slide down a big slide, bounce in some bounce houses and meet Clifford!

We came home, let Gemma get a quick nap and then headed to meet other twins club families to watch our new local minor-league baseball team, the Fireflies! The ballpark is new and beautiful, and we had a lot of fun watching baseball and talking with friends. We sat on "The Berm" a grassy area in the outfield, where the kids just ran around and played the whole time.

Gemma went up to a random woman and asked if she could have her purse!

After the game (which I can't believe all three kids were still awake), we watched some fireworks!

 Pretending to sleep!

Gemma is really at the age where she enjoys going and doing new things and meeting new people. After taking a little break from some of these type of activities, I'm happy that we can get right back in the swing of it!
