Our little man gained another 3 ounces today and is up to 4 lb, 5 oz! He had his first bath yesterday and Jason got to wash his hair. He also took aim at his daddy, but luckily for Jason, he still needs to work on his distance. :) Our sweet pea is up to 3 lb, 14 oz now, so she'll probably be hitting the magic 4 lb mark soon!
Karyssa had a follow-up head ultrasound yesterday that showed some improvement, and Kyran has his follow-up scheduled for tomorrow. His initial one was clear, so we are praying for the same this time!
Tonight, Dr. Bendeck seemed happy with their progress, but we know this will still be a long road. At this point, we are hoping to bring them home around March 3, their original due date. Today, the babies are 24 days old, which means we are 1/3 of the way there!
Of course we would love to have the babies home with us now, but if they can't be here, we know they are in the best hands and the best place. The doctors, nurses and respiratory therapists, along with all of the technology with which they are being monitored make it much easier to sleep at night.
Even more importantly, we fall asleep each night knowing that they are in God's hands and that we have the support and prayers of our family and friends.
