Kyran and Karyssa are doing very well according to the doctor on Friday! Kyran is actually on the curve (third percent) for a full-term baby at 11 weeks old at 8 lb, 6 oz! Karyssa is almost on the curve at 7 lb, 5 oz!
They have a ton of doctor's appointments coming up. Wednesday they see the pulmonologist for the first time and go back to see the eye doctor. On Thursday, Karyssa has her follow-up head ultrasound. Next Wednesday, they will go to the sleep lab to see how much longer they need to be on their apnea monitors. Next Friday will be their two-month appointment, although they will be three months old! It is hard to believe that three months have passed! The next 18 years are going to fly!
They are settling in well at home. They still sleep very well, especially at night, and are now taking their bottles faster, so Talyse can finish the feeding process in about an hour and a half.
While Kyran was in the hospital last week, the respiratory therapist took him off of his oxygen and said he does not need it anymore. We had weaned him off at home, but it was nice to have it confirmed by a professional. That's one less piece of equipment we have to take with us to appointments and one less worry for Mommy and Daddy!
Talyse goes back to work next Monday, but just for the week. Jason and Grandmommy Tamy will be taking care of the babies. It will be very difficult for Talyse to be away from them!
We're hoping to post a new slideshow in the next couple of days, so keep checking back for recent pictures!
