At 25.5 months, Kyran:
- is wearing a size 3 daytime diaper and size 4 nighttime diaper. He is a Pampers baby all the way.
- wears 12-month clothes, but also some 18-month sweaters.
- wears a size five shoe.
- still sleeps in his crib, and has shown no signs of climbing out of it. He'll be in there until he does.
- eats everything except fruit. The only fruit he will eat is bananas, although he did have some apple chunks the other night.
- is improving on his walking and stability every day.
- knows most of his numbers, but rarely says them in order.
- recognizes circle, square, triangle, heart and star.
- can fill in several letters in the alphabet song, and many of the words at the end of it.
- knows his name.
- recognizes the letters K and B, and answers one or the other, or both when asked what his name starts with.
- can list all of his cousins.
- knows the names of all of his friends at church, and can group them into siblings correctly.
- can feed himself well with a fork, and is working on his spoon skills.
- will repeat anything.
- understands much more than he says, but talks all of the time, with amazing pronunciation.
- knows stripes and polka dots.
- recognizes most animals and knows their sounds. He even uses his hand as a trunk when doing the elephant sound.
- knows shoes, socks, diaper, pants, shirt/sweater, scarf, head band and hair bow.
- knows face, hair, cheeks, chin, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, lips, tongue, eyebrows, eyelashes, neck, shoulders, chest, arms, elbows, wrists, hands, fingers, fingernails, back, belly, belly button, bottom, legs, knees, ankles, feet, toes and toenails.
- recognize more foods and household items than I would ever be able to list.
- is wearing a size 3 daytime diaper and size 4 nighttime diaper. She is a Pampers baby all the way.
- wears some 12-month clothes, but is quickly growing into 18-month clothes. (Baby girl 12-month clothes are much smaller than baby boy 12-month clothes. It's amazing how they make them to fit like adult clothes.)
- wears a size five shoe, but her boots are a size 6 so that they'll fit her all winter.
- still sleeps in her crib, and has shown no signs of climbing out of it. She'll be in there until she does.
- eats everything except fruit. The only fruit she will eat is bananas, although she did have some apple chunks the other night.
- is running and has jumped off the ground a couple of times (and scared herself).
- counts to 10 in order, but she leaves out 4.
- recognizes circle, square, triangle, heart and star.
- can fill in several letters in the alphabet song, and many of the words at the end of it.
- knows her name.
- recognizes the letters K and B.
- can list all of her cousins.
- knows the names of all of her friends at church.
- can feed herself well with a fork, and is working on her spoon skills.
- understands much more than she says, but talks all of the time, with great pronunciation. She has already been accused of being a chatterbox!
- knows polka dots.
- recognizes most animals and knows their sounds. She even uses her hand as a trunk when doing the elephant sound.
- knows how to "feed" her baby doll, complete with shaking the bottle holding her finger on the nipple and burping the baby.
- knows shoes, socks, diaper, jeans/pants, tights, hair bows, scarf, head band, and the difference between shirts and sweaters.
- knows face, hair, cheeks, chin, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, lips, tongue, eyebrows, eyelashes, neck, shoulders, chest, arms, elbows, wrists, hands, fingers, fingernails, back, belly, belly button, bottom, legs, knees, ankles, feet, toes and toenails.
