On Sunday, we decided to let the babies wake themselves up during the night and see how long they would go between feedings. We fed them at 10:00 p.m. and Karyssa woke herself up at 4:00 a.m.! We got five and a half straight hours of straight sleep! After feeding Karyssa, we had to wake Kyran up for his feeding, so who knows how long he would have slept.
We did the same thing last night and again, Karyssa woke up at 4 and we had to wake Kyran up. This has altered the daytime feeding schedule slightly, but they seem to be adjusting fine to it.
Yesterday Talyse's family had plans to celebrate her younger brother, Ben's birthday at Pizza Hut. Now, one of the first things that our pediatrician told us was that it was ok to bring the babies to a restaurant, as long as we sat in a booth and no one touched them. Seven weeks later, we finally felt comfortable doing just that!
We got home from work, packed them up and brought them to Pizza Hut where they met their Uncle Ben and cousins Marley and Kahlan for the first time. Karyssa also got to meet Uncle Jon (Talyse's older brother) and Aunt Melissa (his fiancee) for the first time!
We took them off of their monitors for the time that we were in the restaurant and they did great! They took the bottles we brought for them quickly and then sat quietly in their car seats for the rest of the meal. What amazing babies we have!!
We're not the only ones who feel that way. Marley and Kahlan are crazy about them too! Marley, who is almost four, knew that she could look but not touch, and boy did she look. We've never seen such a look of love in a little girl's eyes! Kahlan just wanted to kiss them, so we had to keep her at a distance, but she was very happy to meet them too.

I am so happy that you guys were able to get out and off the monitors for a little while. Way to go! I am trying to take that step myself and still am so hesitant. However, you may have just given me the inspiration!
