I feel like I keep repeating myself, but we had another great doctor's appointment today!

Since the babies graduated from the retina specialist and show no signs of Retinopathy of Prematurity, they were referred to Dr. Cheeseman, the pediatric eye doctor. The worry for preemies is nearsightedness, but he said neither of them are nearsighted, so that's great news!

Kyran has a little misalignment in his eyes, and is +4 farsighted, which is moderate, and according to the doctor, will most likely diminish as he gets older. Karyssa's eyes are in perfect alignment and is only +.05 farsighted, which he said will definitely diminish.

We will go to see him again in December, so we'll have another eye update in 6 months.

We had a very busy weekend! Saturday morning, we went to Andru and Anhnika's first birthday party. The babies were one of 5 sets of twins at the party! They behaved very well, and even got to play on the playground for a little while!

Yesterday we went to church and then to the park for a picnic to say goodbye to our associate pastor and his family. Karyssa and Kyran got a lot of attention, and got their first kisses (on the head) from their cousins Marley and Kahlan. We're still a little germophobic, so anyone who came near them had to use our trusty hand sanitizer.

Yesterday morning, we put the babies under the activity gym, and Karyssa started kicking one of the stuffed animals that hangs from it. I think she may have been trying to turn on the motion-sensitive mobile, but we had it turned off, so she started getting frustrated. It's amazing to see her use her whole body!

We've also noticed something else amusing. On her boppy chair is a little stuffed ladybug, with a smile on its face. Karyssa has realized that the ladybug is smiling at her, and will just grin back at it for quite a while. It's so cute! She still freezes up when I pull out the camera though.

Here are some recent pics!
