Great news! Kyran passed every frequency during his follow-up hearing screen today! We'll go back in December to have them both screened again, and then once more at two years old, just to be sure that there isn't any progressive hearing loss.

Karyssa was perfect during the screen. She slept most of the time, and when she did wake up, she didn't make a sound. It's important for the room to be quiet so that outside noises don't interfere with the test.

They were actually both perfect in the car and at the doctor's office, which I think they owed me after acting up all morning! We are blessed with such great babies! Kyran was his usual flirty self with our audiologist. He does love the pretty ladies! All of the women at the doctor's office loved them; it's hard not to!

Tomorrow, we're going to a birthday party for two of the babies' friends. Andru and Anhnika are the twin son and daugter of one of my best friends, Michelle. They turned one on Wednesday. She also has twin boys who will be five in October...talk about Supermom! I know this will be the first of many times that Kyran and Karyssa will play with Andru and Anhnika!

The babies have both picked up a new trick. We have a mobile that has a "motion" setting, meaning it lights up and plays music when it is touched. We've been putting it on their boppy chairs and, while they can't reach it yet, they've realized that if they hit the sides of the chair hard enough, it will start again! What smart babies we have!

Karyssa has also started "talking" a little! It's nothing like what Kyran is doing yet. She's much softer and it's very rare, but she is making noise that is not laughter or crying.

Four of our friends have had new baby boys recently. Congrats to Steve and Christy, Stephanie and Perry, Aimee and Nick, and Jennifer and Sean on their precious new sons!
