If the physical therapist who comes out for Kyran does an evaluation on Karyssa and determines that she needs services, that will trump the BabyNet evaluation, and we can get the services for her as well. I'm hoping that is the case, but with everything she is doing now, we may just have to watch what they do with Kyran and imitate it with her.
Karyssa is now reaching for and grabbing everything...remote controls, cell phones, toys, spoons, Bella...truly everything! She just studies things, like she's trying to figure out what they are and what they are used for. In the past week, Kyran has started batting at objects with his open hand, but isn't showing signs of grabbing for anything that isn't directly in his path, like my hair or our fingers.
Karyssa can also now get her pacifier into her mouth on her own. She's done it once in her car seat, once in the swing when the paci was on the tray, and once on the bed, although she did accidentally get Kyran's paci, she got it in her mouth all the same!
Kyran and I played a game the other day, totally his idea, where he grabbed my hair then kicked me away, just to pull me back in for a kiss. Ok, maybe the kiss was my idea, but he definitely wanted me close to his face.
We're finding all kinds of new and fun ways to make them laugh, and they continue to smile at everything, especially us and Bella.
Kyran and Karyssa both want to crawl. Kyran's little legs are so strong, and he can scoot on the floor or in his crib, just by pushing off of his legs. He can also push himself completely over the top of his boppy when we do tummy time on the boppies! Karyssa is trying to get up on all fours, but can't quite get her knees to come up. Every time she brings them up a little, they slide right out from under her.
Jason took today off, so we played with the babies and got a lot of stuff around the house. What a great day!
