For the past two days, Kyran, who was our good solid eater at first, has decided that he doesn't want to eat. He'll keep his mouth closed tightly and we almost have to force the food in. Karyssa, on the other hand, has become a very enthusiastic eater. I'm sure this will continue to flip-flop, depending on the day, but right now, we're just hoping Kyran starts eating well again and continues to pack on the ounces!

Karyssa has really started reaching and grabbing recently. She actually took the orange bear on this toy and moved it back and forth over the arch! If she reaches for something and can't grab it, she gets very frustrated. For that reason, I think she'll start sitting as soon as she can.

They are both sitting pretty well with support, although it's obvious that Kyran has some extra weight to carry. Their physical therapy evaluation is Wednesday, so we'll know more about where they are and where they should be at that point.

Karyssa had an appointment to look at her DOC band progress on Thursday, and although she still has a good bit of growing she needs to do, she's definitely showing good progress. We're hoping she only needs to wear it for another six to eight weeks.

We started Kyran's new medicine, Bethenechol, this morning so we're hoping that kicks in soon and he'll stop spitting up so much and hurting so much.

Kyran is also making progress on not being swaddled when he sleeps. At night, he sometimes falls asleep without being swaddled, and during the day, he usually naps well with just his body swaddled, arms out, on his belly. Hopefully that will help him build some more muscle as well.

The more we're around other people, the happier I am that they are "pass around" babies. As long as the person is smiling at them or holding them close, they are happy. I'm sure at some point, they'll go through a clingy phase, but for now, I love that they make those who are holding them feel special, and that others can help us out with them!
