Happy Global Handwashing Day! Before Kyran and Karyssa were born, this day probably wouldn't have meant too much to me, but now it is very near and dear to my heart. We are so fortunate to have soap and clean water so readily available to us, and to be able to fight the spread of infections so well in our country. According to the website, turning handwashing with soap before eating and after using the toilet into an ingrained habit could save more lives than any single vaccine or medical intervention.
