Monitors...gone, DOC band...gone, Bethenachol...done. On Wednesday, for the first time ever, both of our babies were medical-intervention free!!!
No feeding tubes, no ventilators, no isolettes, no chest tube, no IVs, no PICC line, no Broviac line, no phototherapy light, no CPAP, no Cafcit, no supplemental oxygen, no pulse oximeters, no apnea monitors, no supplemental iron, no Zantac, no Prevacid, no DOC band and no Bethenachol. Yes, they are still doing their physical therapy, but there is nothing attached to them or in their bodies, aside from the occasional gas drops or teething tablets.
Yesterday, Long's finally came to pick up the apnea monitors. There was a great deal of confusion surrounding the final download, and Dr. Bartlett just saw their results from July this week and officially discontinued them. Of course, they haven't been hooked up to them since July 22, but it feels nice to have them out of the house!
We are so blessed to have such healthy, thriving babies! Thank God for our miracles!!
