The last week held a lot of firsts for the Burkett Bundle. The first time the babies slept away from the house for more than one night. The first time spending the night at Granddad Burkett's. The first time at the beach. The first time in their new double stroller (thanks, Granddad!). The first (and second and third) time Kyran rolled himself over on his own to sleep on his belly. Probably most significant, the first time Karyssa started "creeping"! Check it out!

Also notice that Kyran is gaining some strength in holding his head up, and that he does scoot a little toward her as well. Just this morning, Karyssa made it about three feet from the living room through the kitchen doorway. Watch out, house, nothing is safe anymore!

Karyssa is also sitting up on her own for extended periods of time while playing with toys. Kyran's PT is definitely paying off too! He's doing much more reaching and grabbing and seems more aware of his surroundings overall.

The babies adjusted well to all of the changes during the trip, and just loved visiting with their great-aunts and great-uncles! No sign of seperation anxiety yet! They especially loved their time with Granddad!

It was very nice to have extra hands to hold the babies, help from Jason with all of their feedings, and people to babysit while we went and played a round of Putt Putt!

The beach was very windy, so we didn't spend much time there, but we did go down for a quick photoshoot. On our way there, we met a family with three-year-old twins, a boy and a girl, and an 16-month-old daughter. The twins both said they loved having a twin, and the parents reassured us that it does get easier!

Feet in the sand!

Enjoying the new ride!
