On Saturday evening, we returned home from a 7-day vacation in the Outer Banks with Granddad Burkett, Aunt Tammy and Uncle Carey. We had so much fun!
As usual, vacation with two toddlers (and a dog this time) was exhausting! Just the logistics of traveling all day with the dog were a lot to think about. We couldn't go into a restaurant, because it was too hot to leave her in the car, so we had to be a little creative!
On the way there, we stopped by "Aunt" Pilly's house, where I FINALLY got to meet her brother and his family! We had already met her parents, sister and nephew, so we were so excited to meet the rest of the family. Their daughters are absolutely precious, and Karyssa and Kyran just loved them!
They were also sweet enough to surprise Jason with a cake for his birthday!

We are happy to be home, but will definitely miss the beach...until next summer!
