New Word Wednesday

While talking with Sarah, their speech therapist, last week, she mentioned that by the age of two, they like for kids to have a minimum of 50 words.  I decided to start a running list of the words that they know, not just repeat, but can identify or request an object, or reply to a question, and I was pleasantly surprised with the list I've come up with.  I don't think it's complete, but as I hear each word, I write it down.  This will also help so that I know for sure which child is saying which words.  Here's the list so far:

Kyran (My favorite word that she says!!  She's also started saying Ka when I ask her name, so I think that's her version of Karyssa!)

Yesterday, I took Karyssa to the dentist for the first time.  Sometime, two weeks ago, she fell and chipped some of the enamel off of her front tooth.  She screamed for the x-ray and the short dental exam, and in the end, we probably didn't need to go anyway.  The dentist said it looks ok, but to be extra careful to brush it as it will be more susceptible to cavities.

In other tooth news, Karyssa has now cut her first four molars, putting her at 12 teeth!

Last week at the beach, we spent lots of time in the pool because the ocean water was so cold.  They did love playing in the sand, though!

Lounging

Sorry, kid...you can't get a tan with 70+ sunscreen on!

Even Bella and Molly loved the beach!

And just for kicks...Jason and Bella at the beach three years ago!
