I am blessed enough to be the fourth generation of some pretty amazing people, and for a couple of days, four of those five generations were in the same city, with sisters of the remaining generation.
My grandmother doesn't travel anymore, but two of her sisters, her mother, her son (my father), her granddaughter and her great-grandchildren were all in New York City this week.
We left last Friday night and spent the night in a hotel. We got up on Saturday morning and drove to New Jersey, where we spent some time with one of Jason's best friends and his wife, and several of their friends and family members.

Sunday morning, we got up and drove to NYC, where we spent the next couple of nights at my great-aunt Elizabeth's house in Brooklyn. My great grandmother (an avid Burkett Bundle reader) was a little under the weather for the first two days, so we headed into Manhattan on Monday to enjoy the city for a little while, and let the kids experience some of the sights.
We spent lots of time in the huge Toys R Us there.

Monday night, we put the babies to bed and Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Bob babysat while Jason and I went to a wine bar nearby for a glass of wine, some delicious cheese and a band that did jazz-style covers of popular songs. What a nice date night!
On Tuesday, we went to visit Karyssa and Kyran's great-great grandmother, Silvia. She loved them and they were mesmerized by her. It's funny, but I think they knew how close their connection is.

The trip was amazing, and the kids did so well! We stopped at another hotel on the way home, so we spent five nights in four different places. They were definitely happy to sleep in their own beds Wednesday night.
